Secondary Education

Children remain at our school until the end of Year 6, when they transfer to a secondary school.

Due to our geographical location, children leave us to attend many different secondary schools. We have good links with all of the schools which helps to ensure a smooth transition for the children and their families.

11+ Kent Selection

30% – 40% of our Year 6 pupils sit the 11+ tests in September to assess their suitability for grammar school.

In the 2015-16 academic year, 69% of those sitting the Kent Test from Wateringbury Primary School were deemed suitable for a grammar school education and were offered places at grammar schools.

In 2016 our Year 6 Leavers were offered places at the following schools:

Bennett Memorial Diocesan School

Mascalls School

Hillview School for Girls

New Line Learning Academy

Hugh Christie Technology College

Oakwood Park Grammar School

Invicta Grammar School

St Augustine Academy

Maidstone Grammar School

St Simon Stock Catholic School

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls

Sutton Valence School

In previous years our students have also been offered places at Cornwallis Academy, Oakley School, The Hayesbrook School, The Judd School, The Malling School, The Skinners’ School and Valley Park School.
