Being a Church School

Our vision is enriched through biblical scripture, in particular John (10:10) ‘I came to give life - life in all its fullness’ and the story of Matthew 13 in which Jesus tells The Parable of the Sower. The children associate their journey at Wateringbury with our motto of:

Learning, growing, achieving… our journey together with God.

Wateringbury is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School and is proud of its strong links with the Rochester Diocesan Board of Education and St. John the Baptist Church in the village.

Priest in Charge Rev. Gary Townsend visits the school for a weekly act of worship.  We also visit the Church for the major Christian festivals and special times in our school calendar.

Children at Wateringbury come from many different faiths and no faith backgrounds.  We embrace our Christian values – love, respect, resilience, joy, forgiveness, courage – as a united community which cares deeply about each person within it.
