Academic Results

The Year 6 Key Stage 2 results for 2025 assess Year 6 pupils' attainment in tests and writing assessments.  Each pupil receives his or her results in reading, grammar/punctuation/spelling and maths as a scaled score between 80 and 120.  The expected score for children is 100 or above; children scoring 110 or above are said to be achieving the higher standard. Writing is assessed by groups of teachers to be at the expected level, working towards or working at greater depth.

Please see attached table for all of our statutory data.

Progress

The other important measure is the amount of progress a child has made from the end of Year 2 to the end of Year 6. There is no ‘target’ for the amount of progress an individual pupil is expected to make, though the school sets ambitious expectations for each pupil.  The amount of progress a pupil makes contributes towards the school’s overall progress score.  A school is deemed to have achieved sufficient progress in all three subjects of reading, writing and maths if they report a progress score of at least -5 in reading, -7 in writing and -5 in maths.

THERE ARE NO PROGRESS MEASURES FOR 2025 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC AFFECTING KS1 DATA.
