Joining Our School

Entry into Reception class

We have one intake each year of 20 pupils, at the start of the Autumn Term. Reception pupils are normally admitted to school in the September following their 4th birthday. Prospective parents are most welcome to make an appointment to look around our school or to visit on one of our Open Days.

Following the national offer day in April, we begin the process of ensuring every child’s entry into school is happy and relaxed. In the Summer Term before the September start, parents are invited to an Information Evening to find out more about the school, how we work and to ask any questions. This meeting also gives parents the opportunity to meet and talk with the Reception class teacher and other support staff.  Our Reception teacher will also visit the area preschools to get acquainted with the children in a familiar environment for them.  In July, children are invited to visit the school on three afternoons, the first with parents staying with their child.

Entry into Years 1 – Years 6

Parents of older children, moving into the area, are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school and to discuss admission with the Headteacher. Unlike admission into Reception, an application for a place in the older year groups can be directed straight to the school office.  Please contact the office for more information.

The school’s full admissions arrangements can be accessed here.
